TenGen BioTech is a biotechnology enterprise group founded by Professor Tianjue Gu in 2000. Professor Gu was one of China's leading and highly recognized scholars and educators in the field of Biochemistry. He held a strong passion to establish a bridge for exchanging advanced biotechnology information and biotechnology products between China and the rest of the world. A number of highly successful scientists and businessmen including the students, friends and children of Professor Gu, inspired by his brilliance and passion, have teamed up to establish this enterprise and realize his vision.

TenGen BioTech is committed to integrating research power, advanced technology development and application, and capital operations. In order to fully utilize the available domestic and foreign resources, TenGen BioTech has established four operating units, in Maryland (USA), Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong, respectively. The mission of TenGen BioTech is to provide a powerful platform integrating business operations and high-tech development resources for scientists in China and Western countries, while enhancing biotechnology and public health in China and worldwide.

TenGen BioTech has established a series of unique bio-platforms for early stage drug and vaccine development by using advanced biotechnology such as gene engineering, protein modification and drug screening. TenGen BioTech, through drug-screening technology, has developed therapeutic drugs for cancer and hepatic diseases from natural herbs with very limited side effect. Recently, TenGen BioTech has also made a great breakthrough in vaccine development by using the TG vaccine platform for cancer and infectious diseases. Many findings have been presented at annual conference of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and have been highly recognized by scientists in the field. Moreover, TenGen BioTech has assembled a professional business team to manage and direct TenGen's business operations, marketing strategies and development. The key members of the team have been trained in both business and biotechnology.

 

TenGen Biomedical Co. (USA TenGen), is located in famous Maryland Technology Development Park, not far from Washington, D.C., U.S.A. Each key member of USA TenGen's expert team holds a Ph.D. degree and has received extensive graduate and postdoctoral training in the USA. TenGen's scientists specialize primarily in molecular virology, protein chemistry and cytology. With advantages in research power, sophisticated laboratory equipment and easy access to research resources, USA TenGen is the R&D center of TenGen BioTech focusing in the development of early stage vaccines and biological drugs, including a therapeutic vaccine for cervical cancer and prophylactic vaccines for infectious diseases such as SARS, HBV and JEV. USA TenGen possesses DNA recombinant vaccine platforms and patented technologies for construction of new vaccines. USA TenGen assists Shanghai TenGen in the identification of pharmacological agents and mechanisms of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), as well as in promoting TCM in international markets. Several of USA TenGen's research findings have been recently released at the annual conference of the AACR.

USA TenGen provides contract services for developing customized vaccines based on individual demands. In addition, USA TenGen supplies various technical services to domestic and international clients, such as protein purification and analysis, lipid purification and analysis, gene recombination and expression, animal tumor models, and monoclonal antibody preparation.

 

Shanghai TenGen Biomedical Co., Ltd. (Shanghai TenGen), located in the Biotech & Pharmaceutical Industry Base, ZhangJiang Hi-Tech Park, Shanghai, has attracted the collaboration of many returning outstanding overseas scholars and experts. Shanghai TenGen serves as an incubator of advanced overseas biomedical projects, and a bridge linking TCM and the modern world.

Shanghai TenGen seeks the unique combination between TCM and modern technology. With proprietary techniques, concentrating its endeavors in anticancer and anti-hepatic fibrosis, Shanghai TenGen has developed dozens of TCM agents, which meet stringent modern biomedical standards.

Beijing Oriental TenGen Technology Development Co., Ltd. (Beijing TenGen) is located in Beijing Zhongguancun Science Park. It is staffed by a group of experienced business managerial, commercial and technology professionals devoted to achieving TenGen's goals through teamwork and professionalism.

Beijing TenGen utilizes advanced international biotechnology to promote the development of biotechnological applications not only in human medicine and health care, but also in the agricultural and fishery industries. It functions as TenGen BioTech's headquarters, responsible for TenGen BioTech's financial management, setting its development strategy and objectives, coordinating the cooperation among the four affiliates, evaluating prospective projects, and managing the public relations and marketing of TenGen BioTech's products.

Currently, Oriental TenGen is undertaking a variety of projects, including an external use remedy to prevent mouth sores in cancer patients, health products for preventing prostate cancer, preservative wax for fresh vegetables and produce and diagnostic kits for aquaculture diseases.

Currently, Hong Kong TenGen's on-going projects mainly involve recombinant vaccines, such as a SARS vaccine. Based on TenGen BioTech's early stage research results, Hong Kong TenGen intends to complete pre-clinical and clinical trials of vaccines and to develop marketable new vaccine products by utilizing Hong Kong's dynamic capital markets combined with Hong Kong's advanced scientific research capabilities.
